I love to play

We won the game called "French Cricket"!!!

Winning matters!!! Yes I won and that too with “Woman of the match” award! It really added an interesting chapter to my life. Well I played really good and would like to tell u all that it’s for the first time that I played with a real bat ;->

Well, the story goes like this.... we had to reach the ground earlier.. to act as the spectators of Boys Final (as they pleaded us ;-) ). Unfortunately they lost the match Uhh …Let me summarize how we started playing “French Cricket”...none of us had ever played and known any of the rules. So without any rules and practice we decided to play and nominated ourselves for the game.

The match is Senior Girls versus Fresher Girls of our office. Juniors were bit afraid I think (bcoz till the 11th hour there were only three of them... while we had a huge team)!!! I told them "Hear and you forget; see and you remember; do and you understand." So go and play it.

I got up early in the morning ....was very excited.... and... so stupid!.. took bath! (I was going to play...!! I didn’t need to! ) Most of us just woke up n came to ground yawning.... But nyways I liked the cold wind blowing and the fresh smell of flowers at our room.

So I was in the Ground.. Can u imagine the ground was in boys hostel so we went their with a gr8 excitement . Hurray I shouted !!! its time our game will start. Our manager and collogues were the viewers. ( ). Seniors were a bit upset as they had lost the match ....however, I thought.... .juniors we will see u in the next match!!!

Oh god !! some of our girls and two boys manoj and rajat were started an unending discussion abt how we r going to play. They were trying to come at consensus about the rules.....

Next...they were deciding the radius of the circle where batsman (oops…Batswoman) needed to stand and bat.

U know “A girl's best asset is her 'lie'ability“.... With these one of my friend babita convinced both on her decided radius. And babita belonged to our team!! so we were going to win nyways…. ;->

More on the same “Rules Decision”..... manoj, scorer, got frustrated while trying to detail the rules... then all of sudden one of our manager came up with a very wise advice...

Don’t dare to explain girls any rules they r going to play in their own way and we r going to njoy !!! I must say here "For those who understand no explanation is needed ...For those who don't none will do" !!!

Both of them announced to start the game with a copy and a pen with them to record the runs but we warned them to count with +1 always for seniors. :-D

So finally we all were on field!! Toss!! And we lost!! But waao!! The opposite team opted for fielding first !!

Then..... we got together for deciding on our tricks n strategies....all serious!! and but of course to pressurize the freshers!! he he ...and....:-) to have choclates and wafers( which babita managed to steal)

We concluded following:

  1. Balling should be fast and “surri”
  2. Try to fool batsman by just passing the ball over to the player behind the batsman...oops! batswoman! and get the wicket!!
  3. Just get wicket as soon as possible without thinking of rules. After all we can change umpire’s decision by shouting !!! nywys.. we didn’t need to.. as one of them was already with us !! ;))

I had taken 6 out of 9 wickets and (maximum run-10 he he )!!! . Also I played with a style that made my junior feel afraid of me that I’m very good player. All appreciated me for the same but I was without any awards :( but on behalf of wining team we got a nice cap. And at last....plp says....looking cool with that cap…

Cheers,

Poonam

Lemme Get Going……

So I’m back with my next blog…My manager says.. he doesn’t like ppl writing blogs, but for me its just like talking to one’s own soul. I want to scream …..jst Lemme Get Going……!!!!!!! :)

So first….lemme start off with my college life …. this sweet-poo had kinda reserved image…ppl used to think of me as an introvert :-| …. One of my college friend had given me comment that he never expected ***such things** from me :) ……so … u got a glimse of me???? :-> u no wht……… :) I was very afraid of going to “canteen” then…. coz of the “crazy” guys hanging around there! …me so stupid….so stupid!!!! missed out the college canteen life :-( …..**chance of all canteen’s stuff*** ;-)

Truly my college days were a bit boring.

After joining IT industry, there was a turning point in this sweet-poo ;-)… now now now… don ask me how !! ;-)

Okie!!.. I’m gonna brief a day… which wasn’t so special…:->.. thn u’ll think why… I’m tell u all !! hmm hmm hmm… theres a catch!! :D …. Day nahi!! To raat to thi !!! eve was gr88888!!! Okie okie.. I’ll start with it !! :) …. @work since from morning 8 to night 10!! my project members asked me to join for dinner. They are very sure that I’m going to have manyyyyyyyy excuses…..coz it would be a “Late” Night Party: but ofcourse only dinner ….. No wild guesses okay!!!! :P My manager says “Sweet-poo is very IDEAlistic god knows why…... :-| ?? May be coz I don hav IDEA phone.;)) hehehehe….

Yes…! I was very tired and wanted a break. It was real hard for me to tell them NOoooooo…So I thot.. y not keep their wish ;->…I joined them!!! :D/

Now the real story beginssss….!!!! We went in car and my stupid team mates made me sit between two very tall persons (one thing to note I’m very conscious abt my height). Guess wht… at this stage! they were fighting for window seat …just like kids …n they tease me saying “I’m a kid”. Koi unhe samjhaaaye…….. “Dekhawe pe mat jaoo, apne akal lagao” :-P

No wht….. Top secret!! It was my first ever late night party! :)

And…. I was actually very hungry, I got my order first … butter paneer masala and fried Dall…and as a loser everyone had taken share from it and I was helpless.

The hotel where we went was celebrating “Biryani Festival”. So being very smart all of my team mates ordered for biryani only…and after having just one bite all agree that they were fools.. for ordering the same thing (except me of course! i had diff things for myself..)….. and it turned out… that biryani wasn’t at al gud!! They all started calling themselves losers!! Had a quarrel for the greatest one! Haah!! “Me the Greatest loser” was their punch line!!!! But whtever… I enjoyed!! It was different! :)

After the so called Bad Dinner, v thot to bring abt sum change in mood! Planned to head for CCD!! @11.30 …!!! Oops!! Near midnight!!! Its for the second time I was in CCD..so was not aware of the menu’s and hence ordered for “Irish coffee”. Ohhh God all started with “Sweet-poo and irissssshhhhh coffee” … and I was least aware of it all ! it had some percent of alcohol !!

(Poonam ordered for irish coffe…) All started teasing me…hey….but i’l tell u wht! taste was damn good…..I really nyoyed the hot drink on this cold December ;-)…….ppl tell me that I’m changing a lot…hmmm….Yes..I am !!…But should I stop here …:-? but…why???????? I’m really njoying my life!! with good people around me and good experiences too…!!

It was around 12.30…. ppl started calling me drunk when we left the CCD…. While our journey back towards our home… I stared at the lonely road and realized the word, Silence…. I felt the chill of cold wind blowing ….

There were ppl who liked the old, introvert Poonam…… but I guess, there are those, who still luv this changing poo…. Wht say?????? ;)
